Oakville Ranch sits 1,400 feet high above Napa Valley on the eastern slopes. The organically farmed vineyard is strewn with ancient volcanic rock outcroppings and is bathed in all-day sunlight. The vines produce low yield, small berried clusters of incredible Cabernet Sauvignon. Normally only available at the winery, this wine is offered exclusively for Touch of Modern members.

Etheral, elegant and powerful! The 2015 Mastodon offers layers upon layers of ripe berries, fresh violets and exceptional minerality. Hints of black cardamom, espresso bean, toasted almonds and freshly cut suede add further dimension and complexity to this decadent 100% Cabernet Sauvignon. The palate is plush and rich with fruited tannins and an elegant finish that seems to linger endlessly. This wine has the backbone and stuffing to cellar over the next two decades.This exceptional one-barrel lot was selected for its extraordinary aromatics and overall superb quality. The 2015 Mastodon is a precise and classic example of Oakville Ranch Cabernet Sauvignon. The 2015 Mastodon will evolve effortlessly in the cellar over the next 30 years.
