Cadmium is an industrial metal best known for making batteries and brightly colored paints but, being about as toxic as lead, consumer goods have been increasingly looking elsewhere for alternatives. In its solid, elemental form it is not particularly dangerous but encased within a block of acrylic is certainly the safest way to handle it.

You will receive one beautifully made 2" cube with a piece of 99.999% cadmium weighing 5-10 grams suspended in the center.
