Genuine Polished Orthoceras Fossil // Small
These Orthoceras ("straight horn") are slender, elongated, fossilized shells with the middle of the body chamber transversely constricted, and a subcentral orthochoanitic siphuncle. The surface is ornamented by a network of fine lirae. These pieces are from the Middle Ordovician period, 488 to 443 million years old.
