Luristan, ancient Persia, c. 1200 - 600 BC. The great bronze battle axe head has a main blade vertically oriented with rounded cutting edge, the opposing blade shorter and horizontally orientated with rounded cutting edge. Both blade stem from a short cylindrical mounting shaft.
