Medieval Venice, Italy. Pietro Gradenigo, Doge of Venice 1289-1311 AD. Excellent silver grosso, set into a modern custom .925 silver bezel and 18-inch Italian silver chain. The front depicts Christ enthroned, facing front; IC-XC above. The back depicts the Doge at left, receiving tall flag from St. Mark , on right. PR-GRADONIGO-SM-VENETI around, DVX down flag staff.
